random blues
Well everything and nothing seems to come at once.
I get straight A’s but I’m the classroom dunce.
The dogs are tied up or they’re on the loose.
It don’t matter, I got the random blues.
It don’t matter what walks through my door.
I don’t seem to get what I want any more.
Can’t get what I want no matter what I choose.
I ain’t been slapped by the glove of abuse.
I’m just sufferin’ from the random blues.
Sometimes I win and sometimes I lose.
They’re one and the same when you got the random blues.
Lookin’ for Bruce or looking for Zeus.
Or lookin’ for lies or lookin’ for truth.
It used to matter but now what’s the use?
I’m in the universe of the random blues.
Things repeat, there’s only old news.
I got a bad case of the random blues.
Load up the ark, two by twos.
Gender don’t matter, I got the random blues.
Dry land and a swamp are both starting to ooze.
Water and beer they both feel like booze.
Everything and nothin’ are providing clues.
There’s plenty of choices but nothing to choose.
I’m lost in a world of the random blues.
It’s all fifty-fifty when you got the random blues.
